Original photography by Chris Holly, webmaster for Australia’s capital city. He participated on an aerial survey of Lake Eyre in the Australian Outback. The lake is temporary and only forms when major rains flood into the dry lake bed. A permanent billabong was in the area providing shade and water for wildlife and aboriginal people who live in the region
